Written and Directed by filmmaker Christian Nuñez, Cuídate follows a mother, Rita Medina, who is an engineer as she works from home, late one night, on a project. While she works, the racket of the ominous city outside her window plus a radio broadcast of the death of an innocent black child fuels her own fear for the well-being of her son, TJ Medina. She struggles to remain focused and accidentally fries the circuits she is working on. Rita finds calm and motivation through a photo of TJ on her desk and continues to work through the night. In the morning she presents her work to her son with hopes that it helps him navigate the world.
